If the town is concerned about the quality of life of the people of Rochefort, it also pampers its visitors by offering them a three-star campsite where respect for nature means that they have free access to a vegetable garden.

Rochefort boasts a top-quality municipal campsite, offering a green setting on the outskirts of the town center.
Open from March to November, the campsite welcomes many curists, tourists, cyclists and hikers.

There are 53 in the Rochefort Océan Conurbation Community.

The département boasts the highest levels of accessibility for all types of disability (motor, hearing, visual, mental), with 322 sites awarded the label.

kilometers away), but its entire history is linked to the navy. It was here, at
, that hundreds of ships were built until
1927! In the 17th century, the town’s distinctive layout, with its
checkerboard pattern of streets, met the definition of a “new
town”, designed entirely to accommodate the families of sailors and
arsenal workers.
